Waterbury- A man was fatally shot Monday morning in Waterbury.

Police responded to reports of a shooting in the Wood Street area and discovered a man with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident remains under active investigation, and authorities are asking anyone with information to contact Waterbury Police.
