Black on Black Crimes are an epidemic in the Brass City

Too many young black lives are being wasted due to drugs, gun violence, and gang life. When will it stop? It is time for solutions not blame. The Waterbury Times issues a call to action. It isn’t about being soft on crime or turning a blind eye. Tough Love is still Love. It is time to set the standard higher for acceptable behavior.  We need more accountability for our youths. We need to set consequences before they meet the ultimate consequence for their actions …which is Death. There is no lessons learned in the cemetary. Black on Black crime is an epidemic. We call on Parents, Politicians, Non Profits, and Every Organization to take a stand against the violence that is destroying our communities in the Brass City.  Something must be done before another life is lost to gun violence and another life is lost to the Prison System. It is a choice we all must make. What kind of city do we want to live in? What future do we want for our youth? The time for action is over due. A change must happen before it is too late.
