Waterbury Among 33 CT Cities to Join ‘No Kings’ Protest on Saturday
Waterbury will be one of 33 cities across Connecticut holding rallies Saturday as part of the nationwide “No Kings” protest opposing the Trump administration. Events are planned in every U.S. state and more than a dozen countries.
The protest follows a tense week of national unrest sparked by ICE raids in Los Angeles. Connecticut State Police say they are working with local and federal agencies to ensure public safety and protect the right to peaceful assembly.
Sen. Chris Murphy called this weekend “a key turning point in our movement to save democracy.”
Organizers urge participants to attend in pairs, have emergency contacts, and write key numbers on their arms in case of arrest or phone loss.
