Breaking News Update- 17-Year-Old Girl Dies After Overnight Shooting on Willow Street in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT – A 17-year-old girl has died after being shot in the chest overnight on Willow Street, according to Waterbury Police. Officers responded to the scene shortly after midnight and found the teen with a life-threatening gunshot wound.

She was rushed to the hospital, where she later died from her injuries. Her identity has not yet been released as authorities work to notify her family.

The Waterbury Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit is investigating the shooting. No arrests have been made, and investigators are actively seeking witnesses and surveillance footage from the area.
