Officials have identified the victim as Carizma Fox, 17, of Waterbury.
Police are now investigating the incident as a homicide.
According to Lieutenant Ryan Bessette of the Waterbury Police Department, “A disturbance occurred outside involving a group of individuals, which led to the shooting.”
The incident remains under active investigation.
