This summer marks the next chapter in how stories will be told in Waterbury — by us, for us.

I’m proud to officially introduce Parker Jane Public Benefit Corporation, the parent company of The Waterbury Times and Livingston Media Company. Parker Jane is not just a business — it’s a mission: to restore truth in local journalism, build economic opportunity for overlooked communities, and redefine what ownership means in modern media.
This isn’t corporate media. This is civic media — rooted in neighborhoods, driven by lived experience, and focused on impact.
📈 What We’re Building
- Parker Jane PBC is one of, if not, 1st of its kind civic media public benefit corporation in Connecticut.
- It owns and operates Livingston Media Co. (our creative engine) and The Waterbury Times (our flagship digital publication).
- We’re committed to equity, transparency, and storytelling that serves the public — not ad tech or algorithms.
🛠️ Why It Matters
Local journalism is disappearing. Communities like ours are left out of the narrative — or misrepresented altogether. Parker Jane was built to flip that script.
I know what it’s like to be silenced. But I also know the power of redemption, vision, and voice. Now, I’m using every lesson I’ve learned to build something that outlives me — a platform owned by the people it serves.
We’re just getting started.
If you’re reading this, you’re not just a spectator — you’re part of the movement. Let’s build the future of local news together.
