Gov. Ned Lamont announced Friday that the state will fully fund the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) through the end of November using $72 million from Connecticut’s budget surplus.
The move ensures that more than 360,000 residents will continue receiving their full benefits, which are expected to be loaded onto cards within three to four days.
Lamont said he directed the Department of Social Services to act immediately to maintain support for families relying on SNAP assistance.
