Waterbury, CT – A new tool is making it easier for parents and guardians to keep track of their children’s school buses. The Durham Bus Tracker app provides “almost” real-time updates on bus locations, routes, and arrival times for Waterbury Public Schools.

Available in English and Spanish, the app allows parents to:
- See the bus route and scheduled stops
- Track the bus location live
- Check estimated arrival times for each stop
“Knowing where your child’s bus is gives families peace of mind, especially during busy mornings,” said a representative from Waterbury Public Schools.

Parents are reminded that school bus transportation is a privilege, not a right. Kindergarten and Grade 1 students must have an adult or older sibling at the bus stop, and parents are not allowed to board the bus.
Students should:
- Arrive at the bus stop 10 minutes early
- Board the bus safely and orderly
- Remain seated while the bus is moving
- Use respectful language and follow the bus driver’s instructions
- Keep hands, feet, and belongings to themselves
- Avoid blocking aisles or emergency exits
- Do not eat on the bus for safety
- No weapons or fighting
Following these rules helps ensure a safe, efficient, and respectful ride for all students.
💡 Tip for Parents: Download the Durham Bus Tracker app today and never worry about missing your child’s bus again!
