Waterbury, CT -A brief lockdown was initiated at Kingsbury School in Waterbury, Connecticut on Tuesday morning after two juvenile female students left the school building, prompting an immediate safety response from Waterbury Public Schools and the Waterbury Police Department.
Early scanner reports indicated the students were believed to be in or near the Fulton Park area. Police and school officials launched a coordinated search across nearby streets and park entrances.
Descriptions Released (Waterbury, CT):
- Girl #1: 9 years old, bow in hair, gray sweatshirt, khaki pants, blue & white sneakers
- Girl #2: Backpack, brown boots, black jacket
Emergency crews canvassed the Fulton Park, Cooke Street, and Fiske Street corridors as part of the response.
Update for Waterbury Residents:
Both children were located safely on Fiske Street. EMS was requested for precautionary evaluation.
The Kingsbury School lockdown has been lifted, and the situation is fully resolved.
