WATERBURY — The City of Waterbury and the Arts & Tourism Commission have officially announced plans for the 2025 Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony, set for Saturday, November 29, 2025, on the Waterbury Green. Festivities begin at 5:00 p.m., with the tree lighting scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
This year’s celebration will feature a full lineup of family-friendly holiday activities, food, music, and special appearances designed to bring the community together and kick off the Christmas season in the Brass City.

- Hot Chocolate
- Donuts provided by the Neighborhood Council

To support local families during the holidays, organizers are encouraging attendees to bring non-perishable food items. Anyone who donates will receive a FREE Frankie’s Hot Dog (limit one per person).
The annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony has long been a cherished Waterbury tradition, drawing residents from across the city to celebrate together, enjoy local talent, and officially welcome the holiday season.
