WATERBURY, CT — Waterbury Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Smoking Ape Company, located near 130 Scott Road, after a suspect demanded money from store staff around 5:24 PM on November 28, 2025.

According to police radio reports:

• The suspect is described as a heavyset Black male wearing a black winter coat.
• He brandished a firearm and demanded cash from the business.
• After obtaining the money, the suspect fled on foot toward Reidville Drive.

Police Response: Units were dispatched immediately to the area, including  Stonefield Drive, where officers attempted to track the suspect. Headquarters reported coordinating with staff on-site to ensure safety and gather further information.
