WATERBURY CT— The holiday season has officially begun in the Brass City. Moments ago, the Waterbury Green came alive as the city’s towering Christmas tree was illuminated during the annual Waterbury Tree Lighting Ceremony — and The Waterbury Times was there to capture the event

Hundreds of residents gathered around the Green as the countdown echoed through downtown. Children cheered, families held up phones to record the moment, and the crowd erupted when the lights finally sparked to life.

A Night of Community, Music & Holiday Spirit

Before the lighting, the Green filled slowly but steadily with:
