Waterbury, CT- Gunfire broke out late Saturday night in front of the U.S. Post Office on Grand Street, prompting a major police response as multiple vehicles fled the scene and several nearby businesses were struck by bullets, according to radio communications monitored by The Waterbury Times.

The incident occurred around 10:53 PM (PST timestamp), when officers reported shots fired with shell casings scattered in the roadway in the area of Grand Street and Leavenworth Street, extending toward Banks Street.
