Waterbury-The Women’s Giving Circle at the Connecticut Community Foundation has launched a Holiday Diaper Drive to support families in our region who are struggling to meet a basic and essential need.
Across Connecticut, nearly 1 in 3 families with young children cannot consistently afford diapers. To help address this growing challenge, the Women’s Giving Circle is collecting diapers and baby essentials throughout the month of December. All donations will benefit New Opportunities Diaper Bank, a longtime partner of the Diaper Bank of Connecticut, which has spent over 15 years providing diapers, period supplies, incontinence products, and other basic-needs items to households statewide.
How to Participate
Residents can contribute in two ways:
1. Purchase directly through the Drive’s Wish List
All items bought through the Wish List will be shipped automatically to the Connecticut Community Foundation.
See the Wish List here…
2. Drop off purchased items
If you prefer to buy items on your own, contact:
📩 Mark Berardi – mberardi@conncf.org
📞 203-753-1315
Mark will coordinate a drop-off time at the Foundation prior to December 31.
A Call to Local Generosity
The Women’s Giving Circle encourages members, supporters, and community partners to spread the word. Every donation — whether a single pack or a full case — directly supports parents, caregivers, and children right here in Greater Waterbury.
This year’s theme, “The Greatness Before Us: Celebrating Trailblazers & New Paths,” reminds us that leadership is shown through action. By uplifting families during the holiday season, the Circle continues its mission of supporting women, girls, and the broader community.
In the spirit of gratitude and collective strength, local residents are invited to join this effort and help ensure every family has the stability and dignity they deserve.
