Waterbury Pedestrian Struck on Chase Ave Dies from Injuries

WATERBURY — A pedestrian seriously injured in a motor vehicle accident on Chase Avenue late Monday night has died, according to Waterbury Police.

Police say that on December 22, 2025, at approximately 10:47 p.m., patrol officers responded to the area of 581 Chase Avenue for reports of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle. The vehicle involved and its operator remained on scene.

The pedestrian, identified only as a 36-year-old male, suffered serious head injuries and was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The incident remains an active and open investigation and is being handled by the Waterbury Police Department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU).
