WATERBURY, CT — The City of Waterbury Water Department is responding to an 8-inch water main break on Oakville Avenue, impacting approximately 25 properties, including several condominium complexes.
UPDATE: Repairs Completed Following Water Main Break on Oakville Avenue

The affected area stretches from around 210 Oakville Avenue to Whitewood Road, according to city officials.
Water Department crews are currently on scene and working to isolate and repair the break. Residents and businesses in the affected area should expect to be without water service for an estimated four to six hours while repairs are completed.

Once water service is restored, residents may experience temporary discoloration or air in their water lines. City officials advise running cold water for several minutes until the issue clears. Additional guidance will be issued if a boil water advisory becomes necessary.
