Waterbury Woman Killed in Pedestrian Hit-and-Run on Reidville Drive

WATERBURY, CT — A 43-year-old Waterbury woman was killed Sunday night after being struck by a vehicle on Reidville Drive in what police say remains an active hit-and-run investigation.

According to the Waterbury Police Department, patrol officers responded to the area of 410 Reidville Drive at approximately 9:14 p.m. on December 28, 2025, following reports of an accident involving a pedestrian.

Upon arrival, officers found a female pedestrian down in the roadway suffering from facial trauma. The vehicle involved in the collision and its operator were not on scene at the time police arrived.

The victim was transported to a local hospital, where she later died from her injuries.

Police identified the pedestrian as Sabrina Starkey, 43, of Waterbury.

The incident is being investigated by the department’s Crash Reconstruction Unit (CRU) and remains open and active. No further details have been released at this time.
