Waterbury- Holy Cross High School’s boys basketball team struggled on Tuesday night, falling 70–52 to West Haven. The loss drops the Crusaders to 2–4 on the season, while West Haven improves to 5–1.

It’s been a challenging start to the season for Holy Cross, facing a tough slate of opponents early on. Against West Haven, the Crusaders had difficulty matching the pace and depth of the top-ranked visitors. West Haven jumped to an early lead, scoring 26 points in the first half while limiting Holy Cross to just 16.
Holy Cross showed signs of life late in the game, putting together a strong fourth quarter, but the deficit proved too large to overcome.
