Waterbury-After another full night of NVL boys basketball action, the top of the league is beginning to crystallize — though the race for the No. 1 spot remains very much alive.

Woodland continued its unbeaten run, improving to 8-0 and maintaining its grip on the top position in the NVL. The Warriors have now established a small but meaningful separation, pairing consistent scoring with defensive discipline that has frustrated opponents throughout league play.

Behind Woodland, the battle intensifies.

Torrington moved to 7-1 and remains firmly in pursuit. The Raiders have answered questions about depth and execution with steady performances, positioning themselves as the most immediate challenger should Woodland stumble.
