WATERBURY, CT — Residents of Waterbury’s South End are invited to attend a community meeting hosted by the South End Neighborhood Association on Wednesday, February 18 at 6:00 PM at Liberty Commons, located at 618 South Main Street.

The meeting will focus on a range of issues impacting the neighborhood, including public safety, ongoing development in the South End, upcoming community events, and quality-of-life concerns raised by residents.

A key topic on the agenda will be continued discussion around the Puerto Rican Cultural District, including administrative updates and subcommittee planning efforts connected to the district’s growth and preservation.

Local elected officials are expected to attend, including Geraldo Reyes, along with members of the Board of Aldermen representing the area: Rafael Feliciano-RomanSandra Martinez-McCarthy, and Adrian Sanchez.

Organizers say the meeting is designed to be an open forum where residents can speak directly with city leaders, ask questions, and share concerns about their neighborhood.

“This is about giving the South End community a voice and keeping residents informed and engaged in what’s happening around them,” organizers said.

The meeting will include a dedicated open public discussion segment to ensure residents have an opportunity to raise issues not listed on the formal agenda.

The event is open to all residents. Spanish-language discussion topics and participation will be available to ensure accessibility for the neighborhood’s diverse community.

All residents are welcome to attend.
