Waterbury-A series of documents circulating online and attributed to materials from investigations involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein contain references to Waterbury-based institutions, financial activity, and alleged communications with local law enforcement.
The Waterbury Times has obtained and reviewed several of these documents and is actively working to verify their authenticity, context, and any connection to confirmed investigations or cases.
At this time, no wrongdoing by any Waterbury-based organization or agency has been established in connection with these documents.
Documents Reference Waterbury Police Contact
One document reviewed by The Waterbury Times appears to describe a communication in which an employee associated with Epstein allegedly contacted the Waterbury Police Department to report concerns that Epstein was attempting to recruit her to procure underage girls.
The origin, date, and outcome of that reported contact remain under review. The Waterbury Times will submit a request for comment and records to the Waterbury Police Department seeking clarification.
Financial and Philanthropic References in Waterbury
Other materials reference financial activity and philanthropic ties connected to Waterbury, including:
- Donations linked to fundraising initiatives associated with the Connecticut Community Foundation
- Banking activity involving Webster Bank located on Bank Street
- References to a business entity identified in documents as “NES, LLC” on Chase Avenue
At this stage, no evidence has been presented indicating that any of these organizations were aware of or involved in criminal activity connected to Epstein. The Waterbury Times will reach out to the organizations for comment and confirmation of any historical records.

One email within the document set references travel to Waterbury and mentions use of the Waterbury-Oxford Airport for private charter flights.

Documents also reference an Federal Bureau of Investigation Safe Streets Task Force operating in Waterbury.
The Safe Streets Task Force is a standard federal initiative focused on gang and violent crime enforcement and operates in cities across the United States. At this time, no documented link between that task force and Epstein-related investigations in Waterbury has been confirmed.
Unverified Claims Regarding Missing Person Case
Waterbury claims that records may have been removed or “delisted” from systems associated with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
