Waterbury-The Connecticut Community Foundation has issued a statement via email to The Waterbury Times after documents circulating online and linked to investigations involving convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein referenced Waterbury-based philanthropic activity.
In a statement provided to The Waterbury Times, the Foundation said:
“Connecticut Community Foundation is aware that its name appears in documents referenced in recent reporting. This individual has not been a donor to the Foundation and has no affiliation with our organization.
We remain focused on our mission and on the many community members whose philanthropy reflects our values and strengthens Greater Waterbury and the Litchfield Hills”.
The statement comes after The Waterbury Times reported that a set of documents appearing in Epstein-related materials included references to Waterbury institutions and activity.
