Storm Concerns Drive Decision

According to city officials, weather forecasts are calling for:

  • Heavy snowfall, potentially exceeding a foot in some areas
  • Strong wind gusts creating blowing and drifting snow
  • Hazardous travel conditions and possible power outages

“With a major winter storm approaching, our top priority is the safety of our residents, city staff, and elected officials,” said Mayor Pernerewski. “Rescheduling the meeting allows everyone to remain off the roads and ensures our public works and emergency personnel can focus fully on storm response.”

Board President Digiovancarlo echoed that message, thanking residents for their understanding and encouraging the public to stay informed through official city communication channels.

Public Safety Reminder

City leaders are urging residents to:

  • Limit travel during the storm
  • Monitor official city alerts and communications
  • Allow emergency and public works crews to operate safely
