WATERBURY, CT — The NVL playoffs delivered another thriller as (7) Crosby stunned (2) Wilby behind a dominant inside-out performance, fueled by a breakout night from sophomore guard J. Benjamin and senior leader C. Washington.

From the opening tip, Crosby brought energy, pace, and defensive pressure, forcing Wilby into a back-and-forth battle that never allowed the Wildcats to get comfortable.

🐾 Wilby Fights Back

Wilby didn’t go down quietly.

  • Sophomore S. Steward led the Wildcats with 13 points on efficient shooting (5–8 FG, 3–3 FT), adding 2 steals.
  • Junior S. Garner added 14 points and 5 rebounds, keeping Wilby within striking distance.
  • A. Nealy anchored the defense with 5 blocks, protecting the rim and limiting easy looks inside.

Despite their effort, Wilby struggled to slow Crosby’s offensive rhythm and defensive pressure down the stretch.

⏱️ Turning Point

Crosby’s defensive intensity in the second half, highlighted by steals and transition scoring from Washington and Benjamin, created just enough separation to hold off Wilby’s late push.
