By D.M.Livingston|TWT SPORTS DESK|Published Feb 28, 2026

Waterbury-The stage is set for one of the most meaningful NVL Championship games we’ve seen in years.

The (23–0) #1 seed Woodland Hawks, led by senior PG J. Napiello (1st Team All-NVL, NVL Top Senior & TWT 1st Team All-NVL Defense), will face off against the #6 seed WCA Spartans, led by senior PG Alex Turner (2nd Team All-NVL & TWT Sports Desk Senior of the Year).

The Stakes

  • Woodland is chasing a perfect 24–0 season and NVL title
  • WCA is fighting for a historic 4-peat NVL Championship

Either way… history will be made Saturday at 3PM.

The Last Time They Met (Jan 31 — “The Woods”)

An instant classic.

  • WCA took a 56–55 lead with 2:58 left
  • They would not score again
  • Woodland closed it out 59–56

A game decided by execution, poise, and championship-level defense.
