Guilty Plea for Waterbury Superior Court House Murder Suspect

A woman has admitted to her role in the fatal shooting of 26-year-old Jarron Michael Chapman outside a Waterbury courthouse last March. Deera Nelson, 22, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder, attempted murder, and hindering prosecution. As part of a deal with prosecutors, she will testify against her co-defendants and others involved, in exchange for a recommended 20-year prison sentence, with the possibility of additional time if she violates conditions.
