Waterbury Clemente 12U All-Stars Hit First Setback, But Season Magic Continues

Mound Visit- Vic Cuevas giving instruction in game vs Southington. WTBY lost 6-3

The Clemente All-Stars’ magical summer hit its first bump Monday night in a tough 6–3 loss to Southington—their first defeat of the summer. But while the scoreboard didn’t tilt their way, the heart and hustle that has defined this squad all summer long is far from gone.

With the tournament winding down, the path to the championship just got a little steeper. If Southington defeats Simsbury in their next matchup, Waterbury will need to beat Southington twice to claim the title. A tall order—but far from impossible for this resilient team.

The good news? The lineup will be fully rested and ready to go. All pitchers and players are expected to be available, setting the stage for a potential comeback run.
