Waterbury, CT – November 11, 2025 – On Monday, November 11, 2025, at approximately 8:41 p.m., the Waterbury Police Department Patrol Division responded to an active robbery at 474 Bank Street.
Officers learned that the suspect, later identified as 22-year-old Ethan Quackenbush of Waterbury, entered the store wearing a ski mask and demanded money. He gestured with his hand in his pocket, indicating he was armed. The store employee refused to comply, and Quackenbush left the premises without taking any money and without further incident.
Waterbury Police Arrest Suspect in Reported Armed Robbery at Exxon on Bank Street
Police later located and arrested Quackenbush. It was confirmed that no weapon was present during the incident. Quackenbush was charged with:
- Robbery in the 1st Degree
- Threatening in the 2nd Degree
- Breach of Peace in the 2nd Degree
