UPDATED NOV 26, 2025 12:51PM : Earlier reports stated that the vehicle involved in the Angel Drive raid was stolen. Police have since confirmed that the vehicle was owned by the suspect. Coverage has been updated to reflect this clarification.
Waterbury, CT Waterbury Police responded to Angel Drive this afternoon following reports of an auto theft involving a black vehicle. Officers swarmed the area in a heavy response, quickly taking one individual into custody.
No injuries have been reported, and the investigation remains active as police process the scene and gather evidence.

Residents in the neighborhood reported seeing multiple patrol units, detectives, and a brief foot chase before the arrest. Police have not yet released the suspect’s name or additional details.
