Waterbury-The holiday break brings one of the region’s biggest basketball weekends as top programs from Connecticut and beyond converge on Holy Cross High School and St. Bernard’s for a two-day slate of showcase matchups created by S.A.G (select affiliated games)
Teams from the NVL, CCC, ECC, CSC, and even Massachusetts’ Libertas Academy will take the floor in what promises to be one of the strongest holiday lineups in recent years.
Below is the complete schedule:
📅 December 27 — Holy Cross High School (Waterbury)
12:00 PM — Cheney Tech vs Enfield
1:45 PM — New Britain vs Wilby
3:30 PM — Platt vs Kennedy
5:15 PM — Windsor vs St. Bernard’s
7:30 PM — Bloomfield vs Holy Cross

A loaded local slate includes Wilby at 1:45 PM and Kennedy at 3:30 PM before a powerhouse Bloomfield–Holy Cross headliner.

📅 December 30 — St. Bernard’s (Uncasville)
11:30 AM — Cheney Tech vs North Haven
1:15 PM — Libertas Academy (MA) vs Fitch
3:00 PM — East Catholic vs St. Bernard’s
The East Catholic vs St. Bernard’s matchup is one of the most anticipated holiday games statewide.
📅 December 30 — Holy Cross High School (Waterbury)
4:00 PM — Fairfield Prep vs Kennedy
5:45 PM — Hillhouse vs Wilby
8:00 PM — West Haven vs Holy Cross
The evening session is stacked: Prep–Kennedy opens it, Wilby gets a marquee test versus Hillhouse at 5:45 PM, and Holy Cross closes the night against West Haven.
