Waterbury-Despite frigid temperatures, Waterbury water crews worked throughout the day on Thomaston Avenue installing a bypass valve, a critical step toward restoring water service citywide.
City officials report that the pipe has been successfully welded and is now watertight. Water is expected to begin flowing later this evening. Once flow starts, it may take several hours for water to fully move through the system and reach homes.
