Waterbury, CT – Sergeant Donald Robinson has entered a first-time offender program following charges related his arrest in FEB. As part of the program, charges will be dropped if he completes probation. There will be no trial or conviction.
While criminal charges may be dropped if Sergeant Robinson successfully completes the first-time offender program, the story is far from over. Domenic Davino Jr.retains the right to seek restitution, his civil case against Robinson and the City is still active, and the internal police investigation remains ongoing.

WATERBURY — New details obtained by The Waterbury Times shed further light on the circumstances surrounding the recent arrest of a Waterbury Police Department sergeant.
According to sources, the case originated from a social media complaint involving an alleged threat made during a live Facebook broadcast. That complaint prompted an internal investigation by the Waterbury Police Department. It is that investigation which the sergeant is now alleged to have interfered with, sources say.

Our sources further reveal that the sergeant notified a former police officer about the existence of the investigation. Shortly thereafter, the former officer stated on air that he was aware he was under investigation.
That disclosure raised significant concerns and ultimately triggered a broader investigation involving the Connecticut State Police, according to sources familiar with the matter.
As previously reported, the sergeant faces charges related to interfering with an investigation and computer-related offenses. Authorities have not released additional details, citing the ongoing nature of the case.
