18-Year-Old Waterbury Man Suffers Non-Life-Threatening Gunshot Wounds, Police Investigating

WATERBURY, CT — An 18-year-old Waterbury man is recovering after suffering gunshot wounds Friday night, according to the Waterbury Police Department.

Police said that on March 6, 2026, at approximately 9:30 p.m., patrol officers were notified that an individual had checked himself into a local hospital after being shot.

Authorities reported the victim, an 18-year-old male from Waterbury, sustained two gunshot wounds to his lower extremities. The injuries were described as non-life-threatening, and the victim is currently listed in stable condition.

The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.

Detectives with the Waterbury Police Department are working to determine where the shooting occurred and what led up to the incident.
