Four Injured in 2024 Waterbury Shooting: Police Confirm Victims Survived, Case Remains Open

WATERBURY The four men who were shot nearly 2 years ago on Mitchell Avenue in Waterbury, according to the Waterbury Police Department have all been confirmed to have survived their injuries.

Police responded around 7 p.m. after receiving reports of gunfire in the area. Officers found four men between the ages of 19 and 25 who had been shot. Two of the victims have since been released from the hospital, while a 19-year-old remains hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries, and a 21-year-old man is listed in critical condition.

“The case is still open,” said Sergeant Joseph Morais. He confirmed the victims did not succumb to their injuries.
