UPDATE: 19-Year-Old Shot in Waterbury, Police Say Injuries Not Life-Threatening

The Waterbury Times|Crime Desk|Published WATERBURY— Waterbury Police are investigating a shooting after a victim arrived at a local hospital early Friday morning with gunshot wounds.


WPD STATEMENT

According to police, on March 20, 2026, at approximately 2:03 a.m., patrol officers were notified that a 19-year-old Waterbury man had walked into a hospital seeking treatment after being shot.


Authorities say the victim sustained gunshot wounds that are not considered life-threatening. He is currently listed in stable condition.

Police confirmed there are no active crime scenes being held at this time. Investigators believe the incident stems from an isolated matter, and there is no known threat to the public.
