Waterbury, CT — Waterbury Public Schools continues to recognize excellence in education with its 2026 Teachers of the Year, honoring educators who make a meaningful difference in students’ lives.
Among those recognized is Renee Sileo-Pettway of Enlightenment School, whose dedication to her students has earned her this distinction.
At the elementary level, educators play a key role in building the academic and social foundation students carry with them throughout their education. Creating a positive and supportive environment is essential during these early years.
