Waterbury Celebrates National Night Out With Family Fun, Community Connection

Waterbury- The City of Waterbury, Waterbury Police Department, Waterbury Police Activity League (PAL), and Bridge to Success are inviting residents to come together for an evening of community, connection, and family-friendly activities during National Night Out.

The event will take place on Tuesday, August 4, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Waterbury PAL, located at 64 Division Street, Waterbury.

National Night Out is an annual community-building event focused on strengthening relationships between residents, neighborhood organizations, and local public safety partners.

When a Death Is Called “Untimely”: What Does the Public Have a Right to Know?

Families attending the event can enjoy a variety of free activities, including:

  • Free food
  • Free ice cream
  • Face painting
  • Balloon art
  • Petting zoo
  • Obstacle courses
  • Touch-A-Truck area
  • Music
  • Family-friendly games
  • Community resources and local organizations

Throughout the evening, bicycles will also be raffled off every hour, with one bicycle awarded to a girl and one bicycle awarded to a boy each hour.

Organizers say National Night Out is an opportunity for neighbors to meet, connect, and celebrate the partnerships that help make Waterbury communities stronger.

Residents are encouraged to bring their families, invite their neighbors, and join local organizations and first responders for an evening of fun and community pride.
