Why These Races Matter
While congressional and statewide races often draw the most attention, state representatives play a direct role in decisions that affect residents’ daily lives. Members of the Connecticut House vote on legislation involving education funding, transportation, public safety, housing, economic development, taxes, healthcare, and other issues that shape communities across Greater Waterbury.
For many voters, these local legislative races may ultimately have the greatest impact on the services they use and the neighborhoods they call home.
Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Voters are encouraged to confirm their registration status, review their district, and familiarize themselves with the candidates before heading to the polls.
