75th District candidate says fairness and second chances should extend beyond political alliances, while objecting to the use of her family’s grief in political disputes.
WATERBURY, Conn. — Faithalee Goclowski, the candidate for Connecticut’s 75th House District, is making character, redemption and political accountability central themes of a campaign message dated October 14, 2026.
In a special edition of her campaign newsletter, titled Holding Fast to Core Principles, Goclowski argues that fairness, compassion and second chances should not depend on political affiliation or personal relationships.
“If we believe in redemption for some, we must believe in redemption for all,” she writes.
Goclowski specifically references Douglas (D.M.) Livingston and Jonathan DeBarros, saying she has stood beside both because she recognizes their efforts, abilities and contributions.
“We don’t have to agree with every decision someone has made to acknowledge the good they are working to accomplish,” she writes.
Her message also addresses what she describes as a deeply troubling inconsistency in how people apply the principles they publicly champion. She argues that offering second chances only to people within one’s own political circle undermines the broader values of fairness and accountability.
The candidate also raises a personal grievance, saying political rhetoric has crossed a line by bringing her family and the loss of her son into political disputes.
“My family’s grief is sacred; using it as political leverage crosses every boundary of decency,” Goclowski writes.
The newsletter does not identify the specific remarks or individuals she is referencing in that passage.
Throughout the statement, Goclowski describes her campaign as focused on community involvement, support for local businesses and helping families. She says she believes meaningful contributions do not always require public recognition.
Her closing principles are direct: fairness should not depend on popularity, respect should not depend on political affiliation, and redemption should not be reserved for a select few.
“If we’re going to demand fairness for all, let’s have the integrity to mean all,” she writes.
The message comes as Goclowski continues her campaign for the 75th District, where her stated priorities include education, public safety, infrastructure, employment, homeownership and government accountability.
The newsletter was published under the campaign branding Have Faith Waterbury and identifies Faith 2026 for the 75th as its paid-for committee, with Anthony Guerrera as treasurer. The material states that it was approved by Faithalee Goclowski.
