WATERBURY— The City of Waterbury will host its annual Pink Out Day press conference Tuesday, October 27, at 11 a.m. at Waterbury Fire Department Station 10, located at 26 Field Street, to highlight an initiative supporting breast health services for local women in need.
Pink Out raises awareness about breast health while generating funds for the Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation’s Breast Patient Fund. Organizers say 100% of proceeds benefit the fund, which helps women access essential breast health services.
Last year, the campaign raised more than $60,000, providing assistance to over 150 local women.
This year’s Pink Out T-shirt features a design by Zoey Bernardini, a Waterbury Public Schools student. Her design was inspired by her mother, Wendy Bernardini, whose strength and courage throughout her breast cancer journey have served as an inspiration.
The annual initiative brings together community members, local organizations and supporters around breast health awareness and access to care. The campaign also recognizes the individuals and families whose experiences help bring greater attention to the importance of breast health services.
The October 27 press conference will provide an opportunity to highlight this year’s campaign, recognize the people behind the initiative and encourage continued community support.
With all proceeds benefiting the Saint Mary’s Hospital Foundation’s Breast Patient Fund, Pink Out Day directs community fundraising toward women who need breast health services.
