
WATERBURY, CT — July 12, 2025 — The Roberto Clemente All-Stars 12U team continued their impressive run with a gritty 7–5 victory over Simsbury in a back-and-forth battle that showcased their resilience and growing momentum.
After falling behind 4–1 in the second inning, Waterbury chipped away at the deficit with disciplined at-bats, aggressive base running, and timely hitting. By the bottom of the fifth, the game was tied 5–5, setting the stage for a dramatic finish.
Aiden Rivera and Kaiden Verban came through with clutch RBI singles, giving the All-Stars a two-run lead. The pressure mounted in the final inning when Simsbury put the tying run at the plate, but Julien Sosa delivered, striking out the final batter to secure the win.
