Shots Fired Incident Under Investigation on Byam & Hitchcock in Waterbury

WATERBURY, CT — On Sunday, March 1, 2026, at approximately 8:17 p.m., Waterbury Police patrol officers were dispatched to the area of Byam Road and Hitchcock Road following reports of gunshots.

How Scott Basile’s 2018 Arson Case Unfolded in Waterbury

Upon arrival, officers located seven spent shell casings in the roadway. Police reported no property damage in the surrounding area and no victims were found at the scene. No individuals were present when officers arrived.

The incident remains an active and ongoing investigation.
