WATERTOWN, CT — Watertown senior point guard Justin Davis is taking his game to the next level, officially committing to Post University after a standout final season in the NVL.

Davis, a steady and reliable floor general, played a key role in guiding Watertown through a season that proved to be a tale of two halves. The Indians came out strong with a 7–2 start, establishing themselves early as a competitive force in the league before facing adversity down the stretch.
Despite the late-season struggles, Davis’ leadership never wavered. His poise helped stabilize the team heading into the postseason, where Watertown secured a play-in berth in the NVL tournament.
Although their NVL run ended earlier than hoped, the Indians regrouped in the state tournament, earning a first-round victory before ultimately falling to their NVL tier 3 rivals Woodland Regional High School in the second round.
Davis’ impact goes far beyond the box score, but the numbers reinforce what coaches and opponents already know. He averaged 2.6 steals per game, showcasing his tenacity on the defensive end, along with 5 assists per game as an unselfish distributor who kept his team organized offensively.

Looking Ahead
When asked about his goals at Post University, Davis said, “I want to come in and contribute to the program any way I can, while earning the respect of my new coaches and continuing to work hard.”
Off the court, Davis is focused on building a foundation for life after basketball. “I plan to major in business, specifically finance, to set myself up for long-term success,” he said. “I also want to dedicate more time to my community, whether through basketball training or teaching life skills to youth.”
Davis’ commitment to both his team and his community highlights the type of player and person he is—a competitor with a purpose, ready to make an impact at every level.
His efforts did not go unnoticed within the NVL as Davis earned TWT Sports Desk First Team All-Defensive honors for the 2025–26 season, solidifying his reputation as one of the NVL’s most relentless perimeter defenders.
At Post, Davis will bring toughness, discipline, and a defensive mindset that fits perfectly with the demands of the college game. And as anyone familiar with NVL basketball knows — toughness isn’t optional, it’s expected.
Davis now joins a growing list of NVL seniors making the jump to the next level, continuing the league’s tradition of producing battle-tested talent ready for the collegiate stage.
