Waterbury— Waterbury Public Schools continues to honor excellence across the district with its 2026 Teachers of the Year. We head back up to the Bucks Hill Complex to visit North End Middle School.
Among this year’s honorees is Raymond Santovasi of North End Middle School, recognized for his commitment to students during one of the most important stages of their development.
Middle school represents a critical transition period, where students begin to take on greater academic responsibility while navigating personal growth. Educators at this level play a key role in guiding that journey and preparing students for High School.
Santovasi’s recognition reflects his ability to support students both academically and personally, helping them build confidence and prepare for the next step in their education.
His work highlights the important role middle school educators play in shaping well-rounded, prepared students across Waterbury.
The Waterbury Times will continue highlighting each of the district’s Teachers of the Year as part of its ongoing Teacher Spotlight Series.
Who’s Next?
Every day, we highlight another outstanding educator making a difference in Waterbury Public Schools.
Stay tuned—your child’s favorite teacher could be next.
