WATERBURY HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION
Waterbury– Waterbury Police are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Sunday morning on Easton Avenue.
At approximately 3:14 a.m. on May 5, 2026, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Easton Ave in Waterburyfollowing reports of shots fired and a gunshot victim.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Police say the investigation remains active and ongoing.

Waterbury– Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early this morning on Easton Avenue.
At approximately 3:10 a.m., authorities responded to the area of 192 Easton Ave for a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a victim inside a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.
The victim was transported for emergency medical treatment. Their current condition has not yet been officially released.
The scene was secured as investigators began processing evidence and canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance footage.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation.
