Waterbury- Waterbury Police are investigating a shooting that left a 40-year-old Waterbury man injured Sunday morning.
According to police, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Main Street around 11:13 a.m. on Aug. 16, 2026, following reports of shots fired.
Upon arrival, officers found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently receiving treatment and is listed in stable condition.
Police say the incident remains under investigation by the Waterbury Police Department Patrol Division and Detective Bureau. Authorities have determined the shooting was an isolated incident and there is no active threat to the public.
